My favorite piece from the Indigo Fern series “Woodland Ferns”. This was one of those paintings that just came together so easily. When I created the sketch I was trying to translate the feeling that you get when you discover a cluster of ferns in the forest and their silhouettes create a perfect pattern that is so inviting.
