
Here’s an example of a decades old Corn plant (Dracaena fragrans). Left: see how the single trunk splits in 2; then the split stem on the right has grown several feet above the original split point. Right, separate pot: I was told this was an offshoot that was repotted and, over the last few years, the foliage “moved” itself to get a better view of the sky/sun (the window faces west). Do you have mature plants with a lot of character?
