The skylight powers all the plants on this shelf with “bright indirect light” – that is, reflected sunlight from the sky as opposed to direct sun. If your plant can see the sun, then it’s getting direct light. If your plant can only see the sky during the day, then it’s getting bright indirect light. Note that “shade” is still considered bright indirect light because, when outdoors, a plant can be shielded from the sun but still exposed to the sky. Shade is NOT a windowless corner inside your home!
