Im pretty new to this world of plants. Been hunting for ones with giant caudexs and stumbled upon this guy recently. I did some brief research on him and then bought him on the spot.

However, I did not realize that the sap of these guys is incredibly deadly and has given me a wave of anxiety. It’s been a good lesson to really research thoroughly before buying these things.

Any tips of care? Am I over worrying about it? How / when does the sap release. Also, is it okay to touch his leaves? Was thinking of repotting him soon but kind of scared to.

The sap only comes out when thenplant is damaged. If youre gonna prune it take cuttings or anything like that wear goggles and gloves. Not sure if this one burns but yes almost all adenias are incredibly toxic, some more than ricin. Other than that itll.enjoy as much root space as you can give it, adenias love heat, can take as much water as you want to give it when its summer and growing. Itll go dormant when that happens keep it dry
