How to exterminate mealybugs once and for all?

Hi y'all, I've had this hoya heuschkeliana for about two years now, started it off as cuttings. It's been growing like crazy, which I'm very thankful for, but it's also consistently had a mealybug problem. The amount of times I've been all up in her with a cotton swab and alcohol is unmeasurable. If anyone has any tips to finally eradicate these bastards once and for all, I'd love to hear them!
