I’m not sure what is happening here, the new growth look so weird. I usually water it once every 2-3 days. It is outdoor and the weather is super hot so the soil is almost always dry. It has direct sunlight everyday, except when it is cloudy. This plant is a gift so I don’t know its name, just that it is some kind of cactus.

A common problem with cacti and succulents is etiolation. This is when a succulent stretches or becomes leggy. Reply with “!etiolation” for advice.
