Someone gave me this plant a little over a week ago. When I got it, it was in a pot with a bunch of other plants. I repotted it in succulent soil. I also thoroughly watered it once (like watered it until water came out of the bottom). It’s in a window where it gets direct light for a couple of hours and indirect light the rest of the day. If anyone can tell me what this plant is and has any advice for how I can better keep it alive, I’d really appreciate it!!

Thank you for posting to r/plantclinic!

It looks like you may be asking about a cactus or succulent. In addition to any advice you receive here, please consider visiting r/cactus r/succulents for more specialized care advice.

A common problem with cacti and succulents is etiolation. This is when a succulent stretches or becomes leggy. Reply with “!etiolation” for advice.

You have been blessed with a jade, easy to care for lots and lots of sunlight and nooo water until you can gently bend the leaves. Hard plump leaves means no water needed.
