Is it possible to prop a small branch like this into a new plant? I have had my plant for quite a while, and just due to being sentimental about it I haven't ever "topped" it to have pieces to propagate. This year the plant had grown a couple a new branches, but this one in particular isn't in a very ideal place should it continue to grow longer. I was considering pruning it off and propagating it if possible, as I would love to have a starter from this plant that I could give to one of my friends who has always been fond of it!

I have heard that ideally you want to try and prop parts of the plant that are more "woody." Is it possible for a new green stem like this to be successfully removed and propagated? If so, should I do it while it is small and new, or perhaps wait longer?

I also attached a couple of pics of the branch and how it looked as it grew in, for those who may be curious if a bump is the start of a branch, and what that might look like.
