At the end of last summer I had a new septic system put in. Naturally my beautiful yard was ruined..
But every ending is a new beginning and this is my chance to put my money where my mouth is and go natural baby!
It is time to spread some seed and as we all know, grass sucks. I want to scape this into a beautiful natural haven but I'm overwhelmed on where to begin!
I'm after a mix of natives that will stay green, harbour insects and critters, but also remain usable and traversable with limited mowing!
I've been considering a mix of things like yarrow, clover, creeping thyme, wild strawberry, ground cover ferns, etc. but I am open to any and all suggestions!
The yard has areas of full sun, partial, and full shade, located in Zone 7a/6b.
I would also love to continually update the community with the progress!
Please help me do the right thing r/NoLawns!
