I bought a house and tore up the asphalt the previous owner had poured over the front lawn. What's the best way to move forward from here with restoring this into a yard/perennial garden?

I bought a house and tore up the asphalt the previous owner had poured over the front lawn. What’s the best way to move forward from here with restoring this into a yard/perennial garden?


Also what's the best way to deal with all this asphalt?

    Asphalt goes to the dump. Flowers grow in soil.

    Use water not Gatorade.

    Hey I just did something like this too. Dig up & remove the first couple inches of compacted dirt/gravel that was underneath the asphalt and then backfill it with loam and compost. It looks like your water main box is there so you won’t want to cover that or at least make sure it stays visible.
