Oh yeah, big Betty’s had her repot 😎

So, Betty was once a small plant put in a big plant pot and never once had her soil changed.

What does that mean? That means JUST soil nothing else no perlite no nothing.

Now then, when I took Betty, and I saw she had no drainage pot, no perlite no pole, NOTHING- I couldn’t be bothered- idk like I just knew what was coming so I couldn’t be bothered.

Well it’s a year later since I’ve had her and she’s tightened her nodal spacing with me and one of my favourite leaves started yellowing and sooooo I decide it’s finally time to do something with her.

Well big mistake man I wish I left her 🤣🤣🤣🤣

It took me 3 hrs to actually repot her. I decided she’s going in leca so it’s easier for me 😎 and well, she finally has a moss pole too.

Now there’s a chance she’ll hate me a lot for changing her soil (finally..) and just die on me, or she might be really thankful and really love her new set up- which has worked on all of my other monsteras 😌

So here’s to praying for Betty- hoping her aerial roots actually root into her pole and we can at the very least salvage her top 6 leaves 🤞🏻❤️‍🩹

(Btw Betty came with her name, I haven’t named ANY of my plants but since she came to me with a name I have kept it 🤣)

(First pic is her largest leaf,,, next 3 are her new set up- and for what it’s worth that massive leaf will be fine, she’ll lower her petioles eventually but I’m sure she appreciated being upright once again!!!)
