  2. Great video I always wondered what fabric u had going on there . Hi Dale. All the cool kids pee there pants!

  3. I have been working on getting new weed barrier down too. I have old stuff still under for a double layer and in some places I put cardboard down first. But I ordered a new roll after a previous video you posted a link and it came folded too! Yeah, I was not happy. I will be able to use it, but it's not my favorite. I am going to get some of the staples you recommended because I hate when they get so rusty and possibly dangerous.

  4. I put cardboard down first then covered with a driveway fabric. I then placed my raised beds on top with cardboard in the bottom of the boxes. No seams to worry about weeds.

  5. Hey brother I have been using Dewitt for years it is a great product. However, don't put bark on it . The weeds will germinate in the bark. Not only that it will build up over time and you will have to clean it out. I scrapped up all my bark and the compost it turned into because the weeds were growing like crazy in it. I have had it in for 6 years the first few years with bark were great but then the weeds just got worse. It's a great product and I appreciate your videos. By the way I am just down the road in S.C . Wild onion grows through this stuff with ease.

  6. I got had by a cheaper brand as well. Going forward I will never buy any other brand except DeWitt! It is far superior and last many years longer then the cheapo brands.

  7. thanks for this! i LOVE the stakes and gaskets and will definitely invest in those and the nicer weed barrier. i always appreciate your videos!

  8. Is there a reason you wouldn't use staples to keep the weed barrier on the sides of the beds from flopping over?

  9. I put weed barrier down in my garden i decided to put mulch on the top, terrible decision weed seeds started growing in the mulch I ended up having to take up all the mulch and put down new weed barrier maybe not enough?

  10. I used gravel over mine. Small gravel. Doesn't matter what I do I have weeds in the gravel due to weed seed blowing in. They are fairly easy to get out but still a pain in the butt.

  11. Not sure putting mulch or other substrate on top of your quality weed barrier to buffer for cart traffic is a good idea. I think it will just develop a new medium for weed growth on top of the weed fabric. Been there done that and regretted it.

  12. Note…we used good barrier with cypress mulch on top…big mistake, the mulch breaks down creating nice soil for weeds and grass to grow. We had to remove it all, and used rubber mulch…expensive but we don’t have a large area.

  13. What about installing new weed barrier on top of the old weed barrier? Wouldn't the old weed barrier provide at least some benefit (although reduced, better than not leaving it), if the old weed barrier were cleaned off, weeds removed, staples removed, as an underlayment to the new barrier?

  14. Quick question on Satsuma trees. Mine is 4 years old hand from Stan McKenzie and has finally flowered (a lot). Should I thin once fruit sets? If so, how much. Im trying to avoid the alternate bearing years which you showed on a video of yours a couple of years ago. Thanks.

  15. I use artificial grass to protect my fabric Gardenmark is the brand I use. It looks the most realistic and feels the softest out of any brand of turf I’ve used. PFA free, safe with kids and animals and doesn’t need infill. It’s a little more pricey coz of the quality around 4.20$ a sq foot.

  16. I'm getting ready to redo my weed barrier. I used rubber mulch originally on top – a big mistake for several reasons. I recommend keeping the barrier uncovered so that you can sweep out garden dirt that spills on it. Once the mulch gets dirty weed seeds will flourish – my experience.

  17. We have been trying to decide on a weed barrier according to your Amazon store, so would you recommend the Dewitt over TUFFIOM, which you had on your list previously? We do not want any that is folded like you showed in your video? Thank you in advance. (We are looking for 4 ft x 300 ft)

  18. Let’s go plastic in the soil….. this just an ad and not beneficial to the environment. Use wood chips and plant cover plants, get this plastic outta here!

  19. I love my DeWitt ground cover cloth. It's been down in my garden for 10 years . It's now showing it's wear and tear that I may have to recover, which I do not mind.
Thanks so much for your video.
I have enjoyed all your videos . Learn so much from you thank you.

  20. American people scared about microplastic? look at your shindel roof :D:D:D:D:D you are totaly surrounded by plastic you cant eliminate it from food chain now… you will eat plastic anyway.
