Ah Blue Max, guaranteed full employment for plumbers. In my town some plumbing companies had billboards advertising Blue Max water service replacement.
Looks like you could’ve put a little piece of tarp down on the little segment of grass right in front of where you were pulling that through and not it caused any damage there too
Very cool to see. I'll hopefully be able to keep this in mind for future reference. I assume you need some power to be able to pull that thing through, maybe a winch on a truck?
Slick. Our lines here in the NE are 48-60"in the ground though. Wirh the right equipment and a little luck we can dig a very narrow trench and lay the pipe w/o getting down in it. Still WAY more work than your method.

I wish my plumber did this instead of digging up my yard and moving my meter
Old waterlines may not have room for a snake to fish through the corroded pipe
Awesome replacement
I wonder how they are in a very rocky soil?
We never did it that way. That is awesome. We didn't have those tools back then. I tell you. You learn something now everyday in plumbing.

What if the water service line is copper? Or is he just doing a sprinkler system.
The way my uncle replaced water lines on cement foundations back in early 90s

How nice to have water lines a few feet under the ground. Here in Wisconsin, they are 6 feet underground. Little more complex! 😀

NOW DO IT ON COPPER OR GALV! 😂
And why would you do this at all?
