I’d transplant each into a better mix (half cacti based soil, and half pumice, akadama and perlite) to prevent root rot. Start with a small container. As the plant grows, transplant accordingly. Crassula varieties rest in the summer, when they require little water. Active growers in the spring to fall period. Here in South Africa’s Western Cape, they thrive in the cooler, more rainy weather of the late Autumn to mid-Spring. Blooms usually start appearing in the cooler Autumn.

Yes. As it’s ceramic, make sure the soil is fully dried before watering. Initially, water slowly to ensure the new soil mix absorbs some of the water. Otherwise, if water drains quickly through, the roots are not fed.

And in general, to cover any type of hole grid,I use a non-slip matting mesh, which I cut to size. I flip the pot over and cut the mesh across the pot’s bottom shape. Fits like a glove. If there are side drainage openings, I cut the mesh wider than the pot’s width, then fold the excess inside the pot. This keeps the side holes open/flowing. Keeps the grittier materials from falling through the opening(s).
