I have three Japanese maple cuttings and am trying to grow them for bonsai. Either way, I planted these on 4/4, pics taken on 4/8 and I’m just not confident they are doing so good. I’m sure they’d be dead dead by now if I wasn’t on the right track, but the foliage damage is worrying me a little bit.

Is 4 days too early to tell what the condition is?

I have a lid for the Tupperware that I’ve drilled 5 holes in and I don’t even put it all the way on. They aren’t in direct sunlight but get good brightness throughout the day. I keep the walls misted but not soaked, I only lightly wet the soil if it’s dry to the touch. I guess I’m just doubting the process a little. Any advice is welcome, thanks in advance.

I would imagine they could be going through a little shock?

Apologies for not being more helpful or definitive but mainly wanted to say I didn’t think about doing jap maples! I just started my own growing operation and this is a wonderful idea. Thank you so much for it
