Is this root rot? None of the other roots are this weird black color. I bottom water the plant when its dry. its perfectly healthy otherwise. its in indirect sunlight and i use de chlorinated slightly fertized water.
Root rot would smell and the roots would be mushy, but also if it was root rot, the plant would not be healthy
BUT it could also be in beginning stages. Have you touched it? Is it slimy? Smelly? Break off easily?
You said you water when it’s dry, I wonder if it could be dry rot

I learned they can easily live and thriwe in water. No soil needed. I have one in a pickle jar. Water Just enough to cover the roots. Changed water and wash the roots once a week.
