I recently bought a house and the neighbor said they’re sunflowers but my phone says it’s ragweed. My aunt has grown sunflowers in the past and says it doesn’t look like sunflower.
Some kind of fig is my guess. Can you break a leaf off and see if it oozes white latex?

Pretty sure those are Hydrangea bushes. They have similar leaves to a fig.

Mexican sunflower. They are going to get huge. The one I planted 5 years ago is 18ft wide and tall right now, and I prune it back about 50% every winter
