Schwerdtfeger Gardens in Stockdale takes the prize for “Most Garden Inspiring” booth, inspiring folks to “plant, plant, plant!”
The South Texas Home and Garden Show held March 21 in Floresville is past, but winners of the seven stupendous door prizes at the annual event — presented by the Wilson County News — continue to enjoy their amazing prizes!
Door prize drawings were held throughout the show, with a host of contributions from show vendors and sponsors. Prizes were presented by Brandy Hawkins and Jacob Sendejo with the Wilson County News, and our Newspapers In Education mascot, Wilson.
In addition, vendors at the show had the chance to enter their booths for recognition in a number of themed categories. Congratulations to the vendors who ventured into the competition this year!

The “All in the Family” vendor award — demonstrating consideration for guests of all ages — goes to Terri Settles with Big Tree Wreath Boutique of San Antonio.

Brittany Bras with Modern Nostalgia Video Games in Floresville wins the “Most Interactive” booth award.

Tammy Balentine with Sweet T’s Treats of Sutherland Springs collects the “Welcome Home!” vendor award, for the way her booth said, “Come in and make yourself at home!”

The prize for “Most Whimsical” vendor booth goes to Marcia Byrne with HeartRock of Floresville with its imaginative presentation.

Andrew Tieu of San Antonio is the winner of the barbecue grill, donated by event vendor H-E-B.

Judy Pruski is the first door prize winner, in the 10 a.m. drawing.
