I love it regardless, but I can’t really tell if it’s a Monroe, a Hoshikage or something else…guess I’ll ID it as “Love of My Life” hahahaha.

Jokes aside, been looking for this heavy farina’d yet colorful specimen for sometime.

My guess is Echeveria monroe? But there’s more varieties as well besides that, maybe when it flowered, we can finally tell 😅

i feel like out of the two you mentioned it looks more like hoshikage. at least rn

i wonder if its a cream cultivar?

if youre willing to put it under those red-and-blue lights, you might be able to get it to flower and that could help with ID. but, those wavelengths could also change the colors of the leaves.

regardless its cute as heck. ill do some research. pls give it a hug from me.

EDIT: its not a cream 😅

i think youre right, its a monroe. hoshikage looks more like pvn to me? only about 3 leaves per whorl, and the leaves are thin and spatulate. yours has thicker, club-shaped leaves and definitely more than 3 per whorl.

a monroe should produce flowers that look like [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/succulents/s/OmQ7UOIqNT) and [this](https://succulentcity.com/echeveria-monroe/), but that may not rule out anything. the leaf shape may become clearer as it gets older.
