Rainbow Gardens—a San Antonio-based plant nursery chain—is celebrating its 50th anniversary on March 16, according to an announcement from the business.
It will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at both garden centers in the city:
8516 Bandera Road, San Antonio2585 Thousand Oaks Drive, San AntonioThe celebration will showcase local vendors and gardeners; plus, participants have the chance to get free botanical samples.
There will also be family-friendly activities, face painting and giveaways for children.

First opening back in 1976, Rainbow Gardens offers customers a wide selection of both native and exotic plants, fruit trees, vegetable seedlings and more garden essentials.
There’s also pottery, landscaping decorations, gardening accessories and more available at both locations, according to their website.
These locations offer hands-on gardening workshops and farmers’ markets on the weekends.
