We think this is a zanzibar gem plant. We received him after one of our owners passed away. We already repotted him once. He will be moving to my house next month while we find new office space. I have a few questions.
Does he need to be re-potted and if so what kind of pot?
Will he be ok on my screened in patio that has indirect sunlight most of the day.
We water the plant when the dirt feels dry.
I am not plant person but I need to keep him alive.

They’re very slow growing, so if you just put it in a new pot you can wait.
They don’t mind being root bound to a point. If you do move up a pot size, make sure it has a drainage hole and go up 1 inch on both sides (2 inches total). Well draining potting soil, you can find it at your local nursery or hardware store.
As for watering, I would do it every other week at most. These guys don’t need a ton of water. Their roots are like potatoes and hold onto a lot of water.
If this has an insert pot that you can pull out, you can take it outside once a month and drench it and let it drain out. That’s what I do with mine.
He’s fine! He is what my gramma called a “zedzed”. They do well in different light, some of them are just reeeeeally slow growers. Youre doing fine.
