Spring is in full swing in the UK so I thought I’d get some frames built today. Went and cut some Hazel sticks from the woods nearby and then planted 3 types of tomato, peas and french beans. With hopefully more to come.
Any suggestions on the best way to border this bed would be great. Ideally budget friendly.
Please ignore the shed in desperate need of attention.

Loving the trellising system.
Word on the street is alliums and marigolds for edging tomatoes, keep the onions away from the peas and beans cuz they’re both nitrogen fixers and will compete for the same soil nutrients. I’ve had good luck growing basil around tomatoes because they’re both pretty vigorous but you will need to water a bunch. This looks lovely, keep us posted!
