I started my indoor plant journey ten months ago and now I'm somewhere around the 80 mark. in the beginning I used to always use decorative pots as a cache pot but more and more lately I'm finding that I'm just displaying in nursery or plastic pots they've been bought in or upsized in. I think my thinking is the plant is the feature not the pot so my new plants tend to be put into basic plastic pots I'm just wondering what everyone else's opinion on this is. I mean I still used ceramic pots etc but intermigled

  1. Plants are looking worse for wear here as end of winter and I struggle to get good light in summer nevermind winter lol

For me, some are housed in decorative pots, some just in their plastic inner pots/nursery pots. Some are in substitute pots, like wicker baskets, an old metal bucket, a storage tin, or even an old unused cooking pot.

I went from 20 to 70 plants in the past 9 months and ran out of proper pots at some points.

It’s all about what YOU like. After all, this is YOUR space. If the plants are happy and greatly, who cares?

Personally, I love the color, texture and esthetic of cache pots, but I like variety in colors visual and tactile textures etc. I feel like they elevate the vibe of the space and, like complimentary colored clothes for us, they can bring out certain colors or features of plants. And, like a previous poster said, they don’t always have to be literal pots. Any container or jar, tin, box, etc can be a cache pot. But my style is more eclectic/boho anyway.

I’ve recently started using more decorative cache pots- I mostly use simple ones that compliment the plants. It started when I decided to experiment with semi-hydro for some of my plants, and ended up liking the look. I also find the pots less annoying than dealing with drip saucers. My succulents are still mostly in terra cotta, though, and my largest plants are staying in nice plastic or resin pots.

I dont think you have to change anything here

The 1st thing I seen, were your beautiful plants and the stand

Those pots look fine just like that!

    Good job
