After week or so after I got him 2 of his leaves fell off but research assured me that was normal and down to a change of environment. Since then he has grown a lot taller and grown 2 leaves but he looks worse than he did when I first got him. And one of his leaves is now pointing straight up. A lot of his bark/brown bit on his stem came loose as he grew taller as well, but it’s still stuck on a bit but it looks dead (6th and 7th pictures)

Is he okay, does he look healthy is there anything you recommend I do him growing taller and getting 2 new leaves is probably a good thing but overall he looks less full and less healthy from the glance of someone who doesn’t know much about fiddle leaf figs.

Please give advice.

This is my first proper house plant please be kind I just want him to be okay.

What kind of light does it get? How strong is it and how many hours a day does it receive it? My first thought is that it’s light source is not strong enough. Plants in general grow leggy if the light they’re getting is not strong enough. With the leaves falling off as well I bet that’s your problem
