So I basically got this plant towards the end of Summer last year, had a bunch of plans for how I was going to set it up (new soil, some sort of climbing branch, etc), and I basically did none of those things and just left it be. I gave it a hose down in the shower and a treatment with some neem, but outside of that, I mostly just left it alone. And now it’s turning into a bit of a beast.

Now that we’re going into Spring, this is one of many projects on my radar, but I’m worried I held off too long on staking him up. Any of y’all more knowledgeable Monstera folk think I can still stake this guy up successfully? I definitely want to get him into some fresh soil.

Picture number 1 is right after I bought it, 2-4 are this morning. The 5th picture is of the two tallest leafs from when I first bought it. They were damaged from being at the store, and now they’re down towards the bottom of the plant. Number 6 is what the base stem is looking like now. I didn’t get a photo of it, but there’s some huge aerial roots growing out of the backside of it, they just have nothing to attach to. Still in the plastic nursery pot.
