Hello! This is my first year trying tomatos from seed, just trying to avoid any pitfalls with timing of things. Missouri zone 6b here, temps are generally warming up but with some dips into the 40s like today still.

Are these ready to start feeding? I read once the first real leaves start branching, but trying not to jump the gun.

When are they ready to start bringing outside some, and when should I aim to transition them into the ground and/or into grow bags? I plan to do some of each just to get a feel for both ways and see what works for me.

Thanks so much for any help/wisdom!

Yes, I would do a weak concentration of liquid fertilizer in water at this stage.

You can plant them any time after your last expected frost date but they will sit there and pout until you get nice warm weather.

Remember to harden off the seedlings by bringing them outside for some hours every day during nice weather for a week or two before you plant them out.
