my soil is very chunky and when I water it starts draining through within about 5 seconds so I have no issue with this. Im watering once a week to every week and a half as the first 2 inches are bone dry with no residue in the bottom of the outer pot. its still producing leaves but ive also noticed that all the points curl. this could be down to humidity ( usually sits at 50) and I have no way to raise. I had been putting in a couple of drops of fertiliser mixed with deionised water with every water (possible over fertalising) which i have now stopped doing. I have now started using tap water that im leaving to sit for a few days before using. any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

  1. My monstera lives in 28% humidity, get soaked with fresh tap water once a week, and they’re still thriving, one is currently pushing a new big leaf. 🙂
Have you checked the plant for pests?
What does the backside of the browned leaves look like?🔎 🤔
Even if you’ve stopped using fertilizer, it still remains in the soil mix – so every time you water, the plant is still getting nutrients.

Look for thrips! They may still be in the leaf tissue at this point. 💚

edit: misting just helps pathogens to proliferate

Mine looked like that when it had thrips
