Some sources say to wait until night time temps are >50 or 55F. But this is way after my last frost date…. Which many years is never! Doing some trial and error but limited by space and eager to get planting!

I don’t know exactly where in California you are but in in the central valley zone 9b and my tomatoes have been out for a few weeks already. Most gardeners here aim for around April 1st but the weather has been so nice I felt pretty confident putting them out a bit early this year.
