Are these okay? I ran them under a little water after buying at Lowe’s. I wanted to experiment with something new. I plan to attach them to drift wood. Are they dying, dead, alive etc???? Any input is sooooo welcome. TY

The one on the right is dead. The left one looks okay, the bottom being that dark is concerning though, looks like it might be rotting from water accumulating in the base

  2. Right one is dead, left one will likely die soon. That dark base looks like it is starting to rot.

If you try again, look out for that dark base. It is bad sign. And after buying, soak them base up for 15-30 minutes (really depends on humidity and their state), then leave them upside down to make sure there is no water trapped inside.

Ok, thank you for your help. Where is a better place to purchase air plants? I try to avoid big box stores, this was an impulse moment 😂 but I’m invested now and want to give it a go.
