Just separated and repotted three(ish) individual plants from the same pot as their foliage and root systems were starting to choke each other off from progressive growth. Now I’m just waiting to see how successful it was by how how quickly the plant recovers as I was concerned about shock from having to deeply untangle them and repot bare rooted.
Roughly, how long does it take for a plant to adjust and bounce back from any potential shock? A few weeks to a month assuming there’s no significant decline in health?
And how common is it for Monstera to have mini hitchhikers (in the last two pics)? I owned these plants for 3.5 months and not once did I notice it until today, wedged in between the stems and aerial roots of the other, much larger plants. I started the repot with 3 plants and came out with 3.001

When they are that small I put just a bit of fertilizer in the water once. Usually they shoot out 2/3 small roots the first 2 weeks doing that and in my experience it gives the smaller ones a little more of a good start after going through the stress.
I think that tiny baby will be just fine. You should expect new root growth in the next few days, since you have it in water, and you can move it to an airy, chunky soil mix once you have a few strong roots, and start seeing signs of growth.
amazing work, i did this exact thing in november with a rescue. they dont seem like they need to bounce back from anything, theyre pretty healthy. (:
