Recently got it, it was a bit neglected so I trimmed off all the dead crispy bits. Took it out of the plastic nursery pot. Should I leave it be and let it get acclimated?
Id wait a bit for it to acclimate, mine lost all leaves after I got it, which was most likely due to repotting. It regrew pretty quickly though. I’m at the point where I’m thinking of pruning now so I’ll be watching this thread.

I probably wouldn’t prune those. If you want a bushier tree you can prune the growing tip at the top. There is a grower by me that slices the apical bud in quarters with a razor blade and his bottle trees are very bushy and full.
