If it crumbles like glass it’s completely dry. If it’s still a bit elastic it isn’t and will eventually mold when stored

I usually use a needle and thread to string through the base of the stem then tie a small knot or wrap around the stem to create separation for air flow and do the next one. Then hang them like that when the string is full and they dry really fast.
