When we moved into our house in Gloucestershire last year the lawn had been long neglected (mown regularly) but had years of moss and thatch about 3 inches thick.

We’ve hired a scarifier to reno it and basically have been left with soil as it was so bad. There are some tufts of grass remaining, but they are few and far between.

The next plan it to aerate it, fill some holes, then reseed and top dress.

My question is, should be just remove that tufts as they’re so few and far between or leave and reseed?
