I’d like to keep the hostas and plant some natives around them, including something with a moderate amount of height in the big empty space at the top of the bed. I plan to pull up the monkey grass and replace too, but should be low lying. Any thoughts or inspo? In west TN zone 8a

Presumably shady given the hostas? Maybe some blue phlox, foam flower or heuchera. Then a shrub like oak leaf hydrangea for the back?
