I’ve always harvested at light red to red. I’d love for them to last a lot longer than they do. I hear breaker stage is the best for that and they still taste identical to full vine ripen. Is this true for the ones who’ve tried it?

    Light red usually, red if I let it go a bit too long. Pink and turning are good if you are getting nasty weather and want to hedge your bets.

  2. I’ve been told that as soon as the color breaks it’s not getting nutrients from the plant anymore, so you can let it ripen on the vine or your counter and it’s basically the same
