The Master Gardeners of Walker County have you covered when looking for garden plants this year.
The group’s annual plant sale is one week away on Saturday, April 11, at the Walker County Extension Office, located at 1501 N. Airport Road in Jasper. The plant sale will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Locally grown vegetables and herbs, perennials, flowers, house plants, ferns and more will be available for purchase at various prices.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Master Gardeners of Walker County community projects.
The plant sale will also have a Kids’ Garden Fun Zone, with nature-themed face art. Children can receive a temporary insect tattoo or facial decoration. Also, there will be a station where children can plant their own seeds (such as marigolds) in a biodegradable pot. Then, they can take the plant home and watch it grow.
