Salem County, South Jersey. Well its time to crush the dead bare spot of my yard. For 1 year since we moved in I had nothing but dirt and poa with crab mixed in. Killed it all out, removed the debris, and took 7 yards of fresh screened top soil to this whole area bringing it up almost 5 inches in height for a much more manageable level. Now comes the Delmarva TTTF blend, home made irrigation and, some temp perimeter fence for tomorrow.

I was planning on doing peatmoss as my cover this time to help with the keeping the seed stuck to this ground. Whats the verdict on peatmoss to a straw seed cover?

p.s. the piece of grass left at the top is getting killed off soon, and ill be doing that section in the fall. Needed to leave somewhere for the dog to go.
