I am loving the color on the first California Poppy bloom in my yard this Spring. I took this picture today, Good Friday 2026.

    I planted American Legion red poppy seeds this year. Can’t wait to see them bloom. I put 200 seeds in ice cube trays and froze them, then just pushed them down into the soil and sprinkled soil onto them. That was the instructions I got so I hope it works.
