I live in Mexico and i have been taking care of a Christ's thorn that i left outdoor where it always receives sunlight, I have always taken care of this plants and watered them every single day, even during college, but two week ago it looked wilted, so I just kept watering it to see if it improves but there was no change and I deduced that it had died but then i noticed these really strange fungus that looked like tiny eyes (It gave me the creeps just looking at it) and i'm not sure what it could be if a fungus or a pest, i have other plants between the Christ's thorn and I immediately moved it away from the other plants, But this has raised my concerns that there might be an infestation in my garden that could harm my other plants.
Please help me to id this pest and what should i do?
Pd: I don't know what kind of soil the plant have in because it was given to me with the soil already in it, but I think have the default common soil i guess…

It looks like a type of scale
Don’t worry, if it dies on Easter it should resurrect in a day or two
