ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (KWQC) – A pinwheel garden was planted Friday morning outside the Rock Island Police Department.
The display is in conjunction with the group Every Child for Child Abuse Prevention Month.
Organizers said the blue pinwheels are a symbol of the healthy, happy and full childhoods that all kids deserve.
Similar gardens are already on display in Davenport and Bettendorf. Moline plans to hold their Pinwheels for Prevention event on Monday.
