I have had this cutting for almost 2 years now. I have plenty of propagations and other pothos of various species who are all growing happily. but this thing. I have adjusted its sun exposure, the amount that I water it, and I have downsized its pot per recommendation from a plant shop employee to keep its roots compact. every single time it starts growing a new leaf it starts killing one of its two old ones. it is not shriveling, it just gradually turns yellow and then falls off of the stem. it happens at the exact rate that the new leaf comes in. i am genuinely at a loss.

The soil looks too dense/wet. The leaves may be waterlogged, in which the hardened off, older leaves handle better than the fresh leaves. The soil might need better aeration
