
Can strawberries eat each other or something? Someone with more knowledge of plants than me please explain. I don’t know why the green bit is two parts like that.

Strawberries aren’t berries. They’re an aggregate fruit grown from many different (edit:) receptacles that hold the (/e) ovaries in each flower. All the “seeds” you see are actually strawberry fruits, with the actual seeds inside.
This looks like the strawberry had uneven growth of all those ~~ovaries~~ receptacles as they merged.
Try to post a picture that shows the structure you’re asking about in a clear way, and don’t forget about the background which should not distract or distort the subject.
