do I need to do something about this? looks like the roots are growing around the steps and the pavers are already lifting up probably from roots underneath.
an arborist came out earlier and said that the trees will likely be fine given how established they are.
but I'd like to get some extra opinions

Yeah, the trees are probably fine. However, the pavers and steps aren’t helping and if removed carefully will promote better root growth, I just doubt that it will really make much a difference long term for your trees…
I’ll just say that those trees are absolutely gorgeous. i’d totally hug the big one on the left
