Stopped by my local nursery to check out their cactus supply, and I found a bunch of their Pedro’s showing this strange diseased looking growth. All with 300$+ price tags. This is witches broom right?
Also scored this little dude in the last picture, I’m thinking it’s a tersch, it had no label, can anyone confirm?

Oh fuck ya, that’s broomy as hell. It’s in its death throes. You can see it’s starved for nitrogen and experiencing vascular death.

I don’t think I’d buy ANYTHING from them. Witches broom is spread by pests, tools, and soil. No way I’d bring home anything that’s been in the vicinity of an infection like that!

I would never trust that nursery.  I certainly wouldn’t buy anything from them.

I can’t believe they’re selling that. Like, either they know those are diseased as hell and are selling them anyway, or they don’t know and therefore shouldn’t be in that business at all.

I feel like I need a shower just after seeing those photos.

Shame too because some of those plants look like they were really pretty before they got infected.

Quarantine that plant for a long while.
