Yesterday I noticed that my compost bin seems to have some kind of fungus growing on it. I’m thinking it’s ok, but can anybody say for sure?

This is so cool… and weird! I’ve had seedlings grow up through the panel spaces before. I’ve even had larvae grow through the panels. I’ve never had fungus do that.

Fungus is always part of the process & a very good sign

Is that a tumbler?  Fungus is a tumbler might indicate too much carbon.  A managed compost pile is too hot/rich for fungus until it’s curing.  It’s not causing a problem, but it might indicate a problem depending on your process and goals.
