I thought that this would have a lot more leaves coming out of the stem but they’re only growing at the top. Should I cut it off towards the bottom and see if it grows? Should I toss it and start new? Also, how do I help the trunk get thicker? What are some suggestions? Sorry for all the questions

Cut to 8 -12 stem and start over, the size of leaves and frequency often depends on environment and proper watering
Forgot too mention the cut will thicken the trunk,but so also does running a fan on it regularly,or just giving it a couple good shakes either mimics wind,or nature.
I’d suggest you chop her down to 6-8 inches from base.
When did you last repot? Fertilize? She needs lots of sunny love. Repot in chunky soil w/perlite.
