Okay guys, give me your thoughts on if I planted these too close together. I’ve seen some posts where people are definitely putting things too close but would like opinions before moving them.

I have romaine and broccoli pictured. I planted them 2 days ago as seedlings.

Broccoli needs about a foot between plants. Some say from stalk to stalk but I also throw flowers and herbs in there so I do one per square foot square foot method.

    The lettuce should be fine.

For the lettuce, if you find they are growing to closely, just begin to harvest leaves at that time (instead of waiting for it to fully grow). Never planted broccoli .

  3. I’m growing broccoli this year for the first time and got them in the ground a few weeks ago. They took a minute to recover after transplanting, and a few were lost to rabbits until I got things under control. I would say keep them at the current distance, and see where you’re at when they get bigger. If they all survive, then transplant some to another space.
