It’s less than ideal. Having it touch the plant can cause issues. First, the plant won’t be able to transpire properly, nullifying any effects the increased humidity may have. Second, you’ll significantly increase the likelihood of pathogen presence.
I’m not familiar with pineapple plant growth, but for increasing the humidity for plants, you can either get a humidifier or you can use a dome that doesn’t touch the plant. But you need adequate air exchange with a dome
