I bought this property last summer. The front had been professionally landscaped. There are two trees labelled Picea pungens "Globosa". They have southern exposure, but one gets more shade than the other due to a large maple tree. I'm in Ottawa, Canada, where the summers get hot and humid. Last summer the property was vacant for 1.5 months, so the trees didn't get any extra water, just rainfall. The needles are turning pink/purple and some of the branches have lost all their needles. I don't see any black spots that would indicate Rhizophaera needle cast, but it may be too small to see. I would appreciate advice! Thank you.
