First time homeowner here. We bought this home last year and it was completely overgrown. I frequently treated with nonselective round up weed and grass killer and plugged away pulling and spraying chickweed, dandelion, marestail (or sumn that looks like it), mullein, and clover + crabgrass have been giving me the hardest time as they've matured. I've begun the spray again this season, dethatched all the dead chickweed that died and yellowed over, and probably worsened by the dog matter we'd left over the winter because of weather and travel.
The lot our home was built on is thick, clay-like, and littered with rocks/gravel. I aerated last year, treated throughout the spring/summer, watering periodically, and seeded in the fall with seemingly no carryover into this year.
Im really just looking for advice on what to do from here on out. I have 5 in 1 weed and feed to spread across our front lawn which is less affected (last photo), killed the chickweed in the garden bed (2nd and 3rd last photos), and feel as though im ready to add nutrients via topsoil and manure to the backyard (first couple photos). Anyone that can give me some insight on what to do for each area? Or am I hopeless trying to restart this lawn after being dealt seemingly the worst lawn hand possible.
Also, transparently ive thought about nuking or torching the whole backyard but i dont want to take all the moisture out nor make my soil any harsher than it already is.
Appreciate any help y'all.
